An Achiever

I was delighted to be at House at Dempsy on an early Saturday morning to attend Cleo's Young Achiever's Award. While trying not to get my heels stuck in the space between the wooden-planked floors and giggling hand in hand, and with mr sunny kissing our faces. We walked leisurely around it's compounds, taking in the rich green, surrounding the building. It was joyous!

Cleo presented Sinapore's Young Achiever Award 2008 to Pamela Leong, admiring her determination to stick to her passion of the road less travelled as a budding ballet dancer in Singapore, although faced with lack of financial and family support. She mentioned this is a huge form of support for her and a reconition of her hard work from people who belive she can succeed. She definitely exudes gentleness and a go-getter attitude at the same time. The difference between her and the other nominees were glarring. It's not in what was said, but how it was said. You can hear that conviction in her voice when she spoke of her motivations and feel her excitment when she shared what she enjoys.

Achieving success is a choice one makes. It is a consistent conscious effort of determination to keep your mind on your goal. i believe the key that insures success in any endeavour is this desire to get there. Reality forms around the commitments we make because desires will in time externalize themselves into concrete facts. So we only have to love and like what we engage in greatly, then, it'll be so much easier thinking and feeling of the elation, the satisfaction and the joy we'll feel, when we achieve it.

A little nail pampering after some goofing around.Hehe!
